In this activity, you will participate in the following workshops:
  1. How to interact with participants and guide them.
  2. How to conduct a lesson.
  3. What instructions and guidance to provide on swimming techniques.
  4. How to execute a lesson plan and prepare for it.

The workshops focus on the implementation of a lesson according to the prescribed curriculum and ensuring that a lesson runs smoothly and orderly. You will apply the knowledge gained from the workshops in practice under the guidance of a practical supervisor. You will conduct several lessons supervised by the practical supervisor, and afterward, you will discuss together what went well and what could be improved.
The content knowledge primarily focuses on teaching and ingraining the correct techniques and methods for guiding participants. You will learn how to organize your lessons and execute lesson plans in a way that engages the target audience and ensures they both learn and enjoy themselves. All of this takes place in a safe environment.

1. Guiding athletes during lessons.

  • Social and physical safety is ensured.

2. Conducting lessons.
The results of this subtask are:
  • The lesson is tailored to the participants in consultation with the responsible instructor.

3. Explaining exercises.
The results of this subtask are:
  • The exercise is understood by the participants.
  • Participants engage in and learn from the exercise.

4. Evaluating lessons and reflecting on own actions.
The results of this subtask are:
  • Evaluation focuses on the process and outcomes of the lesson.
  • Self-reflection leads to insights into one's own abilities and areas for improvement in guiding lessons.

Whether you have performed your task effectively is assessed based on the focal points outlined in the protocol under 2.10 and 2.11.
