You may have already completed the workshops on "life-saving actions" and "rescuing drowning victims." But for your ZRZ, you need a valid First Aid certificate from the Red Cross or Orange Cross. This is necessary because as a lifeguard, you will encounter minor injuries, people feeling unwell, and individuals with injuries requiring immediate on-site treatment. If you don't have a valid First Aid certificate, you can take an online course with the Red Cross. In about 20 hours, including a practical day, you can obtain the Red Cross First Aid certificate. It's also beneficial outside of sports because everyone in your environment may experience an accident or persistent ache at some point.
