Finswimming is a sport practiced with bi-fins (a specific model of swim fins) or with a monofin, in which both legs can only make a butterfly movement. Participants swim long distances underwater or with a snorkel and in some events even with compressed air like divers. It is a challenging sport that requires strong swimming skills. Unfortunately, there are few clubs that offer and compete in this sport.
As a trainer 2, you teach children and young people the basics of this sport, where the legs play a much more significant role than in competitive swimming. You teach them to use various swim fins effectively to move forward, partly underwater. You ensure that the freestyle and butterfly leg techniques are taught and ingrained technically well.
